Turbomags
Turbo mags are a type of wheel often used in race cars and other high-speed road vehicles. Turbo mags are made of magnesium and are lighter than steel and aluminum. On the other hand, turbo mags may also be made of other alloys. Furthermore, turbo mags tend to be more expensive than regular mags.
Turbo mags also come in different designs. Sometimes, the designs of turbo mags support the vehicle's purpose. On the other hand, there are times when the designs only cater to aesthetic appeal.
Since turbo mags are made of magnesium, they are less firm than steel or aluminum wheels. Turbo mags respond faster to heat and are easier to mould. Furthermore, because of such magnesium properties, turbo mags are not ideal to use during races where intense heat and energy can deform more malleable metals.
Using Turbo Mags
Using turbo mags has advantages. One of the advantages is due to their light weight. Using light mags on vehicles enables achievement of greater speed.
Another advantage of using turbo mags is that these support safer driving. Turbo mags improve the dispersion of energy generated from brakes; hence, there is lesser risk that the brake will malfunction.
Acquiring Turbo Mags
Turbo mags are often manufactured for special types of vehicles and are already installed when purchased. However, individual or separate turbo mags may be bought from specialty car shops or car parts and accessories shops. Turbo mags may also be available in car dealerships and second-hand car shops.
The manner of installing turbo mags is similar to the way regular wheels are installed. Jack stands and electric wrenches are needed to install turbo mags.
